  • Petfinder not just for dogs, cats
  • Petfinder is well-known for listing adoptable dogs and cats. Petfinder.com also lists horses, and rescues are increasingly using the service to list their adoptable horses. If your horse rescue is not using Petfinder, consider using it as another way to promote your adoptable horses. As more web users discover Petfinder’s horse listings, your adoptable horses are a few clicks away from a prospective adopter. To list horses, a rescue must be a non-profit organization and be verified by Petfinder. Petfinder listings are available on The Rescue Horse. A search by zip code returns adoptable horse information from Petfinder’s database. Read more

Welcome to The Rescue Horse

Launched in January 2012, The Rescue Horse is a website exclusively devoted to rescue horses. The website provides rescue horse information and news, promotes adoptable horses, and will allow people affiliated with rescue horses to connect with each other via a forum. The Rescue Horse is creating a database of horse rescues in the US. If you manage a non-profit rescue, please signup for the newsletter and your rescue will be automatically added to our database. In March 2012, forums will be open on the website. The forums will allow horse rescue managers to connect with each other. Owners of adopted horses will be able to communicate and share their adoption experiences in forums on OTTBs, BLM Mustangs and Burros, PMU babies, and all breeds.
