Unwanted Horse Campaign helps rescues with vaccinations

Over 8,000 rescued and retired horses have been vaccinated through the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign. UHVRC is a veterinary assistance program supported by the American Association of Equine Practitioners and Merck Animal Health. More than 500 horse rescues have applied for vaccinations through UHVRC since its inception in 2009. Donated vaccinations have protected horses against diseases including West Nile virus, rhinopneumonitis, influenza, rabies, and tentus.
